Here's some stuff I've written

Here’s What I’m Working On

This is the pretty-much-raw first draft of the things I’m writing, or was writing, or am attempting to write.

Spelling and grammar will be dubious, pacing questionable, and there’s a chance that some bits will be hacked out entirely at some point. But if you’d like to read it, and you feel like commenting, I’d like to know what you think.

Stories

These are the individual things I’m ‘working on’, though I feel that I should point out that Easi-Wesi Rail is the only one that’s currently being updated.
This is because I’m trying a new-to-me writing system of actually finishing something, even if I already know it’ll need a bunch of editing. Everything else is either on hiatus, or in one case is already complete.

A collection of linked science fiction stories about the folks living and working in space. It’s intended to be vaguely realistic, aside from the one element that really really isn’t. But you’ll discover that as you read it. This was a NaNoWriMo thing from a long while ago. Still pretty happy with it, especially as I wrote the whole thing in a month (that’s…
  • The Transdimensional Laundry

Yeah, the title needs work. The original version was … How do I put this? … Worse. This one came from a comedy post on an online auction site. Someone was trying to sell a washing machine, claimed that it still ran but vibrated a lot, and said that one time he looked at the window while it was on maximum spin, saw dinosaurs,…
  • There Is No Such Thing As A Rail Pirate

Years ago this line, delivered in a clichéd pirate manner, came to mind; “Here we be, becalmed upon this desolate siding”. I have no memory of what spawned it, or why cartoonish pirates would be sailing on a rail network, though it may have had something to do with rail bikes, maybe? Anyway, the idea got kicked around a bit, and morphed into something…
  • Easi-Wesi Rail Cover

    Easi-Wesi Rail

In a sleepy little valley, three children are aided in their quest to avoid busywork by two somewhat responsible adults, who send them off on the simple but time-consuming task of cleaning all the solar panels feeding power to their village.
  • Halloween Isekai Cover

    Halloween Isekai

I had a weird dream that had enough narrative to it that I wrote it down. A group of people were running through a disjointed landscape to accomplish some important task, passing through sections of buildings & parts of ships & ending up at a huge temple in the rain. They’re coworkers, and aren’t in the the best shape for a lot of running,…
  • Shelter In A Sleeping Cave Cover

    Shelter In A Sleeping Cave

Invaders Detected! But they’re not actually invading. It’s not clear to anyone what they’re doing. It’s not even clear that they know what they’re doing. This is here because my friend Tom challenged/asked me to write five chapters of something before Gen Con. I didn’t want to do this by adding five chapters to one of the existing things, for reasons that continue to…

Updates

These are the most recent updates, which realistically means ‘chapters’.
